MCHS Beta Club
Beta Club is a non-profit organization that recognizes academic achievement, promotes character, and encourages service and leadership in students:
- Academic achievement: Students must be performing at or above grade level.
- Character: Students should demonstrate strong moral character and social responsibility.
- Service: Students should be willing to serve others in the school and community.
- Leadership: Students should develop leadership skills and lead by example.
- Interpersonal skills: Students should develop strong interpersonal skills.
The National Beta Club was founded in 1934 by Dr. John W. Harris, a professor at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The club's motto is "Let Us Lead by Serving Others".
