About Us
Morgan City High School was opened in 1911 and celebrated its centennial year in 2011. The school took inspiration for its mascot and colors from the two largest universities of Louisiana at the time. We proudly wear green, white and blue after Tulane University and are the Tigers after LSU. The school location was moved to its current site in 1969. Over the years, MCHS has expanded to add a Multi-Purpose Building in 2001, a new library in 2014, and MCHS continues to grow and change to meet our students' needs.
School Motto: “Morgan City High School takes pride in meeting the diverse needs of our students so they can become engaged, successful community members.”
